Fresh Stories welcomes pitches about noticing and shaping brief, memorable stories. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the subject, the approach, and why it suits this publication.
What we welcome
We are interested in fresh angles on observation, scene-making, voice, memory, and compact forms. A strong proposal may start with a precise object, gesture, place, or moment, then show what a reader can learn about turning that detail into a story.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working idea, its central question or creative challenge, the likely shape of the piece, and why Fresh Stories readers may care. Include a short note about your relevant experience or perspective if it helps explain the proposal. Keep the pitch focused and do not send a full draft unless requested.
Sending and review
Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Include your name, a way to reply, and the proposal in the message. We consider pitches for fit, clarity, originality, and usefulness; submission does not guarantee publication.
