Editorial policy

Fresh Stories aims to publish clear, considered writing about storytelling and the details that shape it. We value accuracy, independence, transparent labels, and a visible way to address mistakes.

Accuracy and context

We check factual statements against appropriate material available to us and take care not to present interpretation as fact. When a piece draws on memory or uses an invented example, its framing should make that clear. Readers can contact us with a specific concern or correction through the Contact page.

Independence and labels

Editorial decisions are made for the publication's readers, not as a condition of a partnership. Paid placements and partner material are identified with clear labels wherever they appear; a collaboration does not imply editorial endorsement.

Corrections

When a material error is brought to our attention, we review the passage and correct it when warranted. We aim to make significant changes clear in the relevant piece rather than leave readers with an avoidable ambiguity.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are visual material, not evidence for factual claims, and are identified where they appear when appropriate.
